To the Wonderful Stiles Elementary School Community,
As the calendar year draws to a close, I want to take a moment to reflect on the fantastic progress we have made together throughout the fall and early winter months. The dedication and resilience shown by our students and staff this past semester have been truly remarkable, and we are so proud of all the academic and social growth achieved across every grade level.
Looking Forward to the New Year
We are already excited for the new opportunities that await us when we return in January. A key focus will be our iReady testing, which will help us measure student growth and tailor instruction for the second half of the school year. Please also be on the lookout for many fun and engaging events our teachers are planning within their classrooms to keep learning vibrant and exciting throughout the winter season.
Winter Reminders
As the temperatures drop, we want to remind everyone of our winter recess policy. We know how much students benefit from outdoor time, and we will continue to go outside for recess as long as the "real feel" temperature is 20 degrees Fahrenheit or above. Please ensure your children come to school dressed appropriately with warm coats, hats, and gloves so they can enjoy their time outside comfortably.
Gratitude and Partnership
As I reflect on all that I have to be thankful for, my thoughts turn immediately to the dedicated staff at Stiles and the wonderful families I have had the privilege of knowing and working with over the last five years.
Stiles Elementary truly is a special place. When we all work together—the students, the staff, and our families—in a full partnership, we create the perfect environment where every child can achieve success.
Thank you for your continued support, engagement, and trust. We wish you a safe, restful, and happy Winter Break. We look forward to seeing everyone back in the New Year, ready for an amazing 2026!
Warmly,
Daniel Peters
Principal
